V-KILL (Verticillium lacanii)

V-KILL is a biological insecticide. The technical name is Verticillium lacanii. Verticillium is a naturally occurring entamopathogenic fungi, which causes disease known as the white muscadine disease in insects. The fungus does not infect humans and other animals and is considered as an insecticide. These formulations are specifically manufactured to enhance the insecticidal activity and biological stability.

Mode of action - uptake of nutrients
  • When the spores of the fungus come in contact with the cuticle (skin) of the susceptible insects, they germinate and grow directly through the cuticle into the inner body of the host. The fungus proliferates throughout the body, producing toxins and draining the insect of nutrients eventually killing it.

    Target pests

    White flies, weevils, aphids, Trips, Red spider mite, Potato beetles, Corn borer, Stem borer, and Codling moth, Mealy bugs.

    Dosage

    1Kg or 500ml V-KILL + 1 Kg Jaggery in 200 liters of water for one acre spray

Recommended Crops
  • Most of the crops including cotton, Paddy, Tomato, Tea, Coffee, Cardamom, Pepper, Ginger, Soybeans, Green house crops and other Horticultural and Agricultural crops.

Method of application
  • Mix the required amount of V-KILL along with required amount of water and jaggery, stir well to form an uniform suspension. Spray immediately after preparation. Spraying should be done during late afternoon or early morning hours. Thorough coverage of both sides of leaf surfaces is must to get excellent results. For speedy action, higher dosage may be applied. Use natural wetting agent for better results.

    Compatibility

    V-KILL is compatible with most bio-pesticides and

    conventional insecticides. It should not be mixed

    with any chemical fungicides.

    Storage

    Keep in dry and cool place. Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat.
